If like me you are working off a laptop and are an iTunes nut - and are frustrated by the quality of the sound coming through the speakers or via earphones, then I cant recommend highly enough Volume Logic from Octiv - a digital sound enhancer that you can download, trial for 14 days and then purchase for about $20. This adds noticeably superior sound quality- even when through the tinny little speakers that most laptops come supplied with these days.
Anyway, Its added a whole new experience to my listening which today is mainly consisting of Elliott Smith, Ed Harcourt , Ben Folds and Rilo Kiley - in case anyone is interested in an old man's musical interests.

Your positive commentary on our Volume Logic Plug-in for iTunes is most appreciated. We are very proud of what we have been able to do for iTunes users and in your case especially noticible when listening on laptop speakers.
Volume Logic Plug-ins are now available for iTunes Mac and PC, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Realplayer and Y!Music's musicmatch jukebox.
It runs in demo mode now for 30 days and then begins asking you to pay for it.
Cheers,
John
